You know the kind of trip that stays with you —

That’s what I design —and then, photograph— for your elopement.

Not because everything went "perfectly," but because you slowed down, lived it, and walked away with stories to tell forever.

I’m Kate — a luxury elopement photographer who handles the full arc of your experience, from the first “what if we went to...” conversation to the images through the final moments of your multi-day celebration.

I source and vet the guides, the lodging, the private chef, the local florist. I coordinate every vendor and guide their delivery — so you have the time, flexibility, and support to flex your experience in whatever ways feel right as you live it.

Luxury Elopements Around the World

Across my portfolio you'll see stories that reflect adventures celebrating my couples and from my own travel to explore the promise of what’s possible.  From :

       ...Alaska’s remote glaciers...

      ...To catamarans in Australia’s islands...

...To tucked‑away lodges in Africa or historic villages in Europe...

I guide couples toward places that feel alive and true to them.
My obsession with travel began long before I ever photographed a wedding.

This curiosity to see and explore uncommon places, and my knowledge of travel on‑and‑off the beaten path, shape the way I design and photograph your adventurously luxe elopement.

With a passport stamped across six continents, I’ve made it my mission to seek out wild corners of the world—some through guiding couples to elopements, others through my own passion for discovering places to daydream about forever.

What ties them all together is not luxury in the sense of opulence, but in the Soul & Sky sense that I call Adventure Luxe.

What is Adventure Luxe?  This is:

+ lodging - Beautiful, one‑of‑a‑kind

+ experiences - Immersive, meaningful

+ Time - to truly settle into and feel the place you’ve chosen

+ lodging - Beautiful, one‑of‑a‑kind
+ experiences - Immersive, meaningful

Adventure Luxe is about a "slow‑travel" foundation so your elopement mirrors the way you love to explore the world—immersive, elevated, and far from the expected.

Your wedding as an experience, crafted to feel like nothing else.

+ Time - to truly settle into and feel the place you’ve chosen

And... WHAT “FULLY HANDLED” MEANS

When couples search for an elopement photographer who handles all the planning, they’re often surprised to see what that commonly means, and how much still ends up on their plate at the end.

So, here’s what fully handled looks like at Soul & Sky:

What an elopement photographer who handles all the planning actually does

Know where you want to be? Perfect starting point. No idea yet? Excellent. I build a custom destination list from your stories, your travel instincts, and what you want to feel — then design the days around what that place uniquely offers you (and/or your treasured few).

+ Location and Destination Design

Where you stay shapes your elopement — the emotional tone, the flow, the privacy, and, the photography.

I find boutique properties, wilderness lodges, and adventure-luxe stays that become the foundation of your experience, not just a place to sleep between "activities."  This is one of the biggest differences between a curated elopement and a booked trip.

+ Lodging as the anchor, not an afterthought

I identify, vet, and coordinate with every vendor your elopement requires: officiants, guides, florists, private chefs, local transportation. T

These aren’t generic referral lists — they’re people and companies I’ve researched or worked with, chosen specifically for your experience. You don’t research a single one.

+ Vendor sourcing & vetting

Your vision for your elopement sets the pace of the experience, and I build your days intentionally, with an eye toward the story arc your images will tell.

This flow means you get unhurried time to be present in the moments, so each image captured takes to you back to what it felt like to be in it.

+ Timeline & Flow, built for storytelling

From the moment you arrive, I’m your concierge, coordinator, creative guide, and, photographer. Questions, logistics, unexpected moments — I handle them so you can stay present.

The goal is that you look back on your elopement and the images of your story and remember how it felt to be there, not how hard you worked to make it happen.

+ On-the-ground support, start to finish

This is what you'll find as difference between a photographer who helps with planning and one who leads the entire experience. Most couples don’t know that distinction exists until they’ve talked with someone who specializes in managing that full scope of their elopement experience

What fully planned LOOKS LIKE IN PRACTICE:

Brenda and Nick knew they wanted mountains — real ones. Living in the South, the softer ridges near home weren’t what they pictured...

So they came with a feeling & vision, not a destination. Mountains. Fall color if the trees cooperated. Water somewhere. An adventure after.

That was enough. I researched destinations against their stories — how they traveled, what made them laugh, what they'd always wanted to try.

While others battle crowds in Colorado and Yosemite, the place from their custom list that pulled them in?

The Sawtooth Mountains in Idaho. An unexpected option most might never consider — but the rugged, remote beauty captured their imagination immediately.

Vision → Reality: Hiking and play, capped with quiet moments writing vows the day before the adventure.  Then, foggy sunrise vows, a UTV into the backcountry, 10,000-foot summits, a ghost mine on the hillside, hot springs to close the afternoon, and a private chef dinner waiting at their cabin that evening.

Not one thing on their plate except showing up and having a blast.

There are two kinds of couples who find their way here—

Some want the classic version of luxury — Lake Como, Rome, imagery that belongs in the pages of  pages of Martha Stewart Weddings.

Others want something wilder, more immersive, entirely their own — the kind of experience that reads like Condé Nast Traveler set in National Geographic, scenery.

Adventure Luxe lives in that second world.

Happily somewhere in between for couples who want the experience to be extraordinary without being extreme, and who want every detail handled no matter where on the map they go.

Her work goes far beyond photography — she creates deeply thoughtful, high-end, fully supported elopement experiences where every detail is handled with care, intention, and expertise.

FAQs About a
Luxury Elopement

01

Traditionally, luxury elopements are associated with classic destinations like Lake Como or Rome, where architecture, history, and refined services set the tone.

At Soul & Sky, I expand that idea into what I call Adventure Luxe—luxury defined by immersive lodging and extraordinary experiences in places like exclusive mountain chalets, luxury safaris, or remote glacier lodging.

Both approaches are valid; the difference is whether you want the elegance of the well‑known or the rare beauty of the off‑the‑beaten‑path.

02

Luxury comes from intention.  Consider:

  • Choose a destination that feels true to you – beyond the iconic, toward places that reflect your story.

  • Elevate travel and lodging – boutique properties or exclusive stays that immerse you in the landscape.

  • Invest in the right team — photographer and expert vendors – a photographer with an elopement‑design mindset who helps customize your days and creates stunning images you’ll be proud to display, paired with vendors who deliver high‑end, intentional services that elevate the whole experience.

  • Curate meaningful details and meals – from private dining with local chefs to personal touches that reflect your story.

  • Value your time – the ultimate luxury is having the space within additional days to slow down, savor the journey, and truly experience the place you’ve chosen together.

03

Lists often repeat Paris, Santorini, Lake Como or tropical resorts. Those are beautiful, but they aren’t the only answer.

Hidden gems—like historic estates in Mexico’s interior, exclusive safari lodges, Alaska’s glaciers, or a luxe train ride across Scotland’s wild isles—offer the same refinement with far more individuality.

The question isn’t only “where is luxury?” but “where will feel unforgettable to us?”

Explore this luxury destination elopement guide for a month-by-month view of some of the amazing places you can visit to say your vows.

04

When choosing a luxury elopement photographer, start by asking yourself:  do you see your story in imagery that could appear in Martha Stewart Weddings—classic, refined, intricate details, and romantic—or are you drawn to Condé Nast Traveler or National Geographic, where place, natural detail, and experience are at the heart?

That simple distinction often shows whether your vision leans toward traditional luxury or Adventure Luxe.

Beyond style, consider:

  • Can the luxury elopement photographer help you define what luxury means for your elopement—exclusivity, uniqueness, or the feel of a place few others have chosen?

  • Do they have experience shaping and documenting the full journey, not just the ceremony?

  • Will they invite you to explore possibilities—through full galleries, conversations, and even early calls before you’re officially engaged?

A true luxury elopement photographer balances artistry and guidance, helping you decide whether you want the timeless elegance of a known icon or the rare, immersive feel of an Adventure Luxe setting.

05

Yes. Luxury doesn’t mean only two people—it can also mean your treasured few. Parents, siblings, or close friends can be part of the elopement wedding when the setting allows.

A good rule of thumb is to keep the guest list small—often under 10–20 people—so the celebration remains intimate. The key is choosing lodging and experiences that balance closeness with comfort.

Adventure Luxe stays often make this seamless, offering privacy for you, ease for those you invite, and memorable experiences you can share together.

Before the logistics or the itinerary, there's often a little whisper tugging at you, pulling you to a place.

Wide and wild. Quiet and forested. Near water. Rich with history.  Tiny under big skies.

If you're not sure yet which feeling is pulling you strongest, the Elopement Archetype Quiz is a good first step.

Every elopement starts with a feeling about place.

What luxury elopement experience can we inspire for YOU?

Yes, EVERYTHING is possible.
